JERSEY CITY PEACE MOVEMENT 2008
On Saturday, December 27, 2008 between 4-7pm, citizens of Jersey City and some from surrounding cities/counties came together in Pershing Field Park in the Community Center dedicated as a Vietnam Veteran's memorial to honor and celebrate those who have worked to better local communities through political and individual artistic actions, events and works. The turnout was solid, though not as large as last year (the first annual one), netting a maximum of 40 people in the room at one point (with a minimum of 20 ever-present). Below are the photos from the event with captions.

Looks like a great event -- lots of people from different organisations.
What did the person from The Indypendent have to say?
In the past NYC Indymedia (The Indypendent is a related project) has hidden almost all articles about 9/11 truth... |

Everyone was pretty much on the same page about the 9/11 thing, mostly due to my efforts. Last year there was some disagreement/hostility, but now, especially since it's a local issue, people have awoken and accepted 9/11 truth.
The guy from Indymedia just congratulated all the other recipients on their work and humbly accepted his own. It's an ok newspaper--I disagree with their socialist lean, but their content is pretty good otherwise. |
